Ed Drewett has unveiled his take on one of his biggest co-writes to date, Olly Murs’ “Dear Darlin'”.

Originally taken from Olly’s third studio album Right Place, Right Time, “Dear Darlin'” peaked at number five on the UK Singles Chart. The modern day love letter is a fan favourite in addition to being one of Ed’s favourite creations.

Adding his own spin to the track, Ed’s version of “Dear Darlin'” sees him strip things back whilst retaining the heartfelt sentiment of the original recording. The acoustic nature allows Ed’s distinct vocal to stand out beautifully, making us fall in love with the song all over again.

Speaking about “Dear Darlin'”, Ed said: “It was the first time I’d written with Olly and we just got on, being two lads from Essex. We started talking about love and the idea came about to write a song as if it’s a letter. It’s one of my proudest songs, because it crossed a lot of bridges – it felt like we wrote a song that got everyone. I was proper chuffed with that.”
